Defamation suit filed against Dole
I heard about this while listening to NPR tonight. I thought that you might find it interesting due to the election. Dole states in her add that Hagen is supporting people who don't believe in God. Due to the fact that North Carolina is known for being a very religious group of people. This ad could be very damaging to the candidate. But, the kicker is that the people who made the ad for Dole used Hagen voice to say that she don't believe in a God. Hagen proclaims that this is not her voice or words. This is very interesting! I would be interested to see how the case plays out. It's similar to the "group project" we did last night in class, in that the issue is the fact that they are using one person's likness to sell something (or, in this case, to "make people aware" of who not to vote for). Great post!
